What is Autism?
Autism is a complex, lifelong developmental disability that affects essential human behaviors such as social interaction, the ability to communicate ideas and feelings, imagination, self-regulation, and the ability to establish relationships with others.
While there is currently no known single cause of autism, early diagnosis helps a person receive the support and services they need, which can lead to a higher quality of life. The symptoms of autism vary by the individual, from mild to severe.
