We need YOUR HELP to complete the Nature Path at URS!
United Rehabilitation Services expanded our outdoor play space by adding a Nature Path in multiple phases, thanks to the support of the Centerville Noon Optimist Club, Centerville Spirit Chain, Gorman-Hewitt-Ayars Fund, Pilot Club of Dayton, and Brighter Tomorrow Foundation. The final phase of this project is to construct a 20’ X 20’ wheelchair accessible observation deck overlooking the pond, which will provide meaningful opportunities for URS’ clients, young and old, to explore, learn, exercise, and connect with nature. Research on the benefits of spending time outdoors demonstrates substantial mental and physical health benefits, especially for children with special needs.
We need “ALL HANDS ON DECK” to raise $15,000 to help fund the final phase of this project!
Many of our friends and neighbors will find the recent $1,400 stimulus check will be critical to covering the costs of their everyday lives. Between the health, emotional and economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, this past year has been extremely challenging for so many and this payment can make a big difference. If you’re one of the many Americans who can afford to share part of the latest round of stimulus money from the government, please consider donating some portion of your stimulus check to URS to help fund the Nature Path deck!
Your financial support will help URS complete this worthwhile project and enhance the programs we provide to hundreds of children and adults with disabilities! Make your secure donation today!
