Endowment Funding Opportunities
When making a one-time or planned gift to United Rehabilitation Services, you can choose to designate your contribution to any of the following funds:
Charles D. Berry Endowment Fund
The Charles D. Berry Endowment Fund was established in 2016 to sustain the future of URS as part of the Unlocking PossAbilities Expansion Project. Mr. Berry appreciated the importance of sustainability in the face of funding cuts at the local, state and federal levels. It is with this in mind that he created this fund to encourage others to contribute to changing the future of disabilities in our community. Mr. Berry has supported URS for more than 40 years as a Board Member, Campaign Chair of the first URS capital campaign in 1998 and annual giving. His financial support has been essential to the growth of URS and its ability to expand services to meet the growing needs of our community. Thousands of children and adults with disabilities and their families have been touched by his generosity, and we commend him for his commitment to changing lives in our community.
J. Edward Wasserman Permanent Endowment Fund
The J. Edward Wasserman Permanent Endowment Fund was established in memory of Mr. Wasserman, the first Board president of United Cerebral Palsy. The purpose of the fund is restricted for long-term goal and programming needs, as well as unanticipated demands upon the agency for the direct benefit of children and adults with disabilities.
James & Marge Bristow Legacy Fund
The James & Marge Bristow Legacy Fund was established in 2011 in honor of our founder, Marge Bristow. The purpose of this fund is to support activities that foster full community inclusion, self-advocacy and independence for our clients. Opportunities include participating in the Solidarity Conference in Columbus and community-based recreational activities to libraries, museums, and sporting events.
