MIAMI VALLEY, Ohio (WDTN) – A Miami Valley tradition continued for the 40th year Sunday, bringing joy and much needed funds to hundreds of people.

More than $100,000 was donated Sunday, benefiting people in our community. The donations were big and small, and every single one makes a difference. Chuck Berry is a longtime URS supporter. On Sunday he gave a check for $62,000 “in honor of the 62nd anniversary of United Rehabilitation Services.”

The funds allow URS to keep offering programs and caregivers for people of all ages. Dennis Grant, the Executive Director of URS, says, “We know the phones were ringing as we went off the air. You can still give. Certainly still think about that last gift of the year and think about United Rehabilitation Services and the differences your gift can make in the lives of kids and adults with disabilities.”

For many families, URS is the first place they turn to for expert care, compassion, and support. Jackie Fox’s daughter utilizes the services at URS. She says, “Just give them a call, because they help everyone. They have helped us so much. They have activities, they go on field trips, and they make them a productive person in their life. So check them out, they’re worth it.”
